Bring the Kids to Prime Hook

Earth Week is the perfect time to visit Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Trails are open every day from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset; the visitor center and gift shop are open Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm and Saturday-Sunday from 11am – 3pm.

Save the bees and butterflies! Come into Hooked on Nature Book & Gift Shop at the new refuge headquarters for your free packet of Earth Day pollinator seeds. Limit one per household while supplies last.

School break blahs? Drop into the visitor center and head to the auditorium. We’ll provide nature-themed coloring books, crayons, and 3-D wooden puzzles of wildlife; you provide the kids! Puzzles appropriate for kids age 7+. We also have a full library of wonderful nature books for children of all ages. All activities are free, but supplies are limited. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
