Beach House Dewey

Checked into this place with my son and boyfriend on Friday night, we planned to stay only until Saturday. But the location ended up being so perfect for our trip that we extended our stay into Monday!
The women at the front desk in office, are so kind, welcoming and friendly. We felt comfortable here the whole time we stayed. Nobody was banging at the door before 11 to check out, they let us take our time and enjoy the pool on our last day.
Hands down the best spot in Dewey and we will now stay here every time we visit!!

For beach goers, the location is perfect (just a short walk to the sand)! If you are looking for restaurants, bars, and shops, also a great location. However, be aware of the extras...early check-in (before 4:00) comes at a cost, wifi is not free, and we had no tv service (again, maybe a charge). I did pay good money for a Saturday booking, and I was shocked by the extras. I booked through an agent and asked for 1st floor since we were leaving at 5:00 a.m. to head home; they don't really look at requests. I was on 3rd floor, lugging luggage downstairs (no elevators) early morning (sorry for those below me). The staff was not overly friendly. Again, location is great...pick your battles.

We booked a room and when we got there we checked the beds and there was a bug in the bed. The staff was more than happy to accommodate us with a different room. There was a bug in the second bed as well. We then alerted the staff and asked for a refund and that we were leaving. They agreed and started the refund process. We were told 7-10 business days and the refund would clear. I still haven’t received it on the 11th business day and I called and was told 3 more business days so we will see if that will happen. Update I still haven’t received my refund so here is proof of the bugs because it has been a month since then and no one is actively trying to get my refund back. The manager will not answer my calls and tells her employees to tell me she’s not there all the time. Booking.com is trying to help me but they keep saying the refund hasn’t been released to them yet
