I really like this place. I been here twice. Both times in April. Since it was early in the season, the place wasn't crowded. The food is simple bar fare, but I've liked my meal both times. First time I had fish and fries. Second time was a yummy burger with fries. Again, nothing fancy, but I really enjoyed my burger.
One of the things I like most is the views. On one side, the beach and ocean. On the other, the Indian River Inlet Bridge.
I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Obsessed with Big Chill! This place is incredible and the food is so fresh and delicious. Joelle was our server tonight and she was great…attentive, fun, friendly! The drinks are strong, the vibes are high and this is the best spot for lunch or happy hour when you’re at Indian River. Be back soon 😍

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Big Chill Beach Club today.
We were a party of five celebrating my father’s 75th birthday. Despite the restaurant being first-come, first-served with no reservations, we waited approximately 35 minutes to be seated while several empty tables large enough to accommodate our group sat unused.
When we were finally seated, we were placed at a table designed for four people. A chair was pulled from the back and squeezed onto the end, leaving my 75-year-old father, a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country, feeling like an afterthought rather than a valued guest.
When we politely asked if we could be moved to one of the many empty larger tables, we were told those tables were reserved for parties of six. We watched multiple tables remain empty for well over an hour. After asking to speak with a manager (which wasn’t possible because only the hostess was available), we again questioned why these tables couldn’t be used. At that point, the explanation changed….they were now supposedly reserved for parties of seven or more.
Ironically, after our meals had already arrived, we were finally allowed to move to one of those same empty tables.
The issue wasn’t simply the wait; it was the lack of common sense, inconsistent explanations, and unwillingness to provide basic customer service. Empty tables generated no revenue while paying customers were left uncomfortable and frustrated.
What should have been a special birthday celebration turned into an unnecessarily negative experience. We won’t be returning, and I sincerely hope management reviews both their seating policies and how guests are treated.
