Bonkey's Ice Cream & Snoballs

We stopped at Bonkeys after winning a gift card and are so happy that we found this place! They have homemade ice cream, soft serve, and snowballs, so there was something for everyone. Everything was delicious! It’s a bit tucked away, so I probably wouldn’t have known about it if we hadn’t had the gift card, but I’m glad we found it! We’ll be back 🍦☀️

We’ve been coming to Bethany Beach for 18 years and have always loved Bonkey’s. Their ice cream is fresh tasting and we do like the variety of flavors. We went last night and we did enjoy the ice cream flavors and felt the size of the scoops were generous for the price. But, I only gave 3 starts because, as others have mentioned, your decision to no longer allow samples is frustrating. Any time that you might save by not allowing them is lost because, in these tough financial times, people have a hard time paying plenty of money for a flavor they aren’t sure they will like. So it takes longer to decide. It’s great that you have some really adventurous flavors offered, like the Hawaiian coconut cherry currently or your long standing Old Bay Caramel. But those adventurous flavors have a much bigger chance of going to waste if you don’t allow your customers to sample them first. Maybe a good compromise would be to limit samples to 2-3. Just a friendly suggestion from someone whose family has been a customer for a long time and who genuinely wants you to continue to be a success.

Good ice cream, snowballs, and milkshakes. Reasonable prices especially for the beach. They have lots of flavors and offer scooped and soft serve. Wish they could offer more seating/shade to sit when it’s busy.
