Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

I compared the largest Italian sub from Capriotti's, and the, "other C sub shop (on route 1)."
The longer Italian sub halves are from Capriotti's on Savannah Road ($25.99). The shorter halves are from the other Italian "C" sub shop on Route 1 ($16.65). Although Capriotti's costs $9.34 more, you also get substantially more food-
I weighed both sandwiches:
Capriotti's: 1,000 grams
Other "C" sub shop: 675 grams
That works out to:
Capriotti's: 2.6¢ per gram
Other "C" sub shop: 2.5¢ per gram.
So despite the price difference, the value is almost identical when you compare cost by weight.
As for taste and overall eating experience, I think the other "C" sub shop may have a slight edge as the amount of meat seems to be a little meatier. However, its bread is what keeps it from taking the win for me as it's noticeably harder to rip a bite offwhen taking a bite, and that same characteristic makes the bread chewier. It's the kind of sub bread that can make your jaw work a little harder and get tired.
Capriotti's bread is much easier to bite through and to chew, making the overall eating experience more enjoyable.
When considering everything like portion size, value, meat, bread, and overall eatability enjoyment, I call it a tie in my book. But if you have to have bread that's easier to bite and chew, Capriotti's would have to be your winner.

i am a loyal customer. So much so, that i just got my second reward (thank you by the way) and it was very disappointing when I saved up two rewards totaling $20, only to redeem it on a sandwich that lacked meat completely. I usually always get a small on a tortilla and decided to treat my self to a brownie and fries for the first time. Every sandwich ive ever ordered has been fulfilling and made me want to come back. The sandwich I had today didn't make me want to return and I am so sad because I truly enjoy having a sandwich shop across the street from me. I literally order 5 times a week. I am just disappointed especially after saving the rewards plus, I worked out and was craving it😭 They are usually thick and stacked with turkey. But I got skimped today.

The cheesesteaks are AMAZING. Everything is prepared to order and very fresh. I have gotten meatballs without the bread and they are also very good. I highly recommend. The sandwiches are HUGE. So don’t let the $25 scare you. You can get three adult man-size meals out of a large sandwich.
