Only 35-minutes from the beaches in Southern Delaware is located Delaware Botanic Gardens (DBG) at
30220 Piney Neck Road, Dagsboro. DE 19939. The 37 acre botanic garden was awarded “Best Attraction” in 2022 by Southern Delaware Tourism. Open Thursdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What a gem! Nature lovers will swoon at abundance of plants and flowers here! Taking a stroll along dedicated paths you'll find attractions made from natural materials! Need a break from beach? This is perfect way to wear the kids out Lol Enjoy!

Gardens with a scavenger hunt! I found the toad, the lizard, the sea serpent, the wizard, the snail, the turtle, Medusa, the spider, the octopus, the heron, the fiddler crab, the troll, and an unexpected slithery surprise. 🐍 Loved the creatures made solely from the woods, and over time, they've created their own ecosystems! They also have a meadow designed by the acclaimed Piet Oudolf, which is lovely. Bumbles and butterflies abound! Fee was only $15.00! It is fairly small in comparison to other gardens I've been to, but they have done a lot with their space.

What a great day to help celebrate Mother's Day or any day really. The weather was perfect and the grounds teeming with beautiful flowers, grounds and areas in both the meadow and forest to sit and enjoy the quiet and peaceful surroundings and several views of Pepper Creek and marshlands. Overall a beautiful afternoon.
