Al is one of the the best guitar luthiers on the East Coast. And I have been to the best in NY, NJ and DE. Al can fix any guitar. I brought my Gretsch 1961 electric and Fender Stratocaster there on June 8, 2026, he fixed the electronics, lowered the action, added springs, put new strings on it - you name it - till guitars are tip top. All at a fair, reasonable price. You can have 100% confidence that any stringed instrument will be cared for and rehabilitated.

Been to this store 3 times in 3 years. I visit yearly as my in laws are locals. My wife and I purchased a home 3 weeks ago and relocated to Milton. My father in law, my father and my uncle all have purchased gear there as a result of my references. My uncle flew in from Germany a year ago to visit and bought a 12 string to take back to Germany with him. While trying to sell some gear to them I was denied for to not having an official DE license, ok fair enough, although I literally offered in addition to my valid Maine state ID, a government issued US passport also valid and documents from our new home in the same town. It wasn’t the ID that was the issue ultimately for me, it was the disposition and demeanor of tone change that was highly insulting. It was insinuated that I could be a hustler after they made an offer on the guitar I brought in. They are 3 mins from my front door, should be a perfect situation. 47 year old man working as a Project Coordinator for one of the largest construction companies in the area but being viewed like an addict at a pawn shop. Did not expect that. I informed them that I have a Reverb store with a 5 star rating (Dusty Strat) but chose to go local to start a relationship. Fail! They have a beautiful selection and are highly skilled in repair. There is a lack of “soft skills” however. Knowing how to say something is vital. Out of state musicians be warned if you want to sell, it’s not happening! Yet again another reason for on-line commerce.

I picked up a few guitars from estate auction. One was in need of repair. I called and Mary answered on there day off. She is absolutely wonderful 💖 . So friendly makes you feel like you arrived home. They where preparing for there third guitar expo at Harrington Fairgrounds that weekend. I told her what I needed done to save the 13 year old poorly stored, but still new guitar. She told me all that they do for setting up new strings, checking soldering, electronics , cleaning and reconditioning frets. The price is lower than everyone I called. Mind you that is if you can get other shops to actually answer there phone or bother to return a call. I decided to read all there reviews after I dropped off the guitar just to see what others had to say. Enjoy the read because I'm not the only one left with a warm and happy experience. 😊 Glowing reviews and they deserve it! ✨️ After the expo AL got to works on my guitar and I got a dreaded call. He started with "well in all my years I've never seen this before" He offered a solution like it was water off a duck's back. Less than 2 hours I had my guitar back. AL plugged it in played a few rifts plus demo an amp for me as well. It's a small shop but they have a lot in there to drool over. There's a whole separate acoustic area next to the main drop-off for repairs. AL never stopped moving both times I was in there ... so far. I asked about lessons and they work with a guy in Lewes that they both said was wonderful. I plan on getting that set up soon too. They are located about a mile off Rt. 1 easy access and well worth it to stop by if your traveling to the Delaware Beaches. I've been in many shops from Delaware. Maryland to PA. They don't have walls of guitars you can't reach and associates that can't be bothered to help. What they do have is my business and hopefully yours as well.
