I’m so excited that I’ll be able to visit the goats and all of those special little ones tomorrow I need to stock up on my cereal and I can’t wait to put more photos and it’s great. I couldn’t believe how many people saw what I had posted, but you have to experience it so super cute. 🫶 I will be the first person to admit that I would say I would just hang out for a half hour 2 to 3 hours later trying to make friends with a chicken or four. It is such a relaxing time. By the way, the goats they really like music. 100%.

You need to check out the grill!! Great spot for lunch for locals too! Breakfast sandwiches are hefty and delicious. But have you tried the soup of the week? We’ve had jalapeño popper, cream of crab (SO MUCH CRAB!), and most recently French onion with short rib. Every single one was fantastic!

I did not like this place very much. First of all, there is no lake. There is a lot of swamp. Second, they have a bunch of pens with goats, deer and chickens that is noisy and smelly, and I kind of feel bad for the deer. Third, the bath houses need to be rebuilt as they are small, old and stuffy. Mosquitoes need to be mitigated. Trees should be thinned to allow a breeze and clear up the humidity. Potholes are big and plentiful. Staff is OK, management and owners aren't very accommodating. Campground is immense with a strange and difficult layout. Pool is in the middle of nowhere, behind an odd 10-ft stockade fence, not visible from the outside, not within walking distance from cabin and tent sites, far from many RV sites. Food is 1/2 mile from pool and there is nowhere to eat near the pool. That kind of ruined my plans to have dinner poolside with the kids on a 90-degree day. Large seasonal population kind of trashing the place up with Trump flags. Store is huge but poorly stocked. They have great potential, but they really need to invest, hire some more maintenance people and see what the surrounding campgrounds are doing if they want to compete. I will not return anytime soon.
