An important note: we are not from Delaware. We ate here while on vacation.

We were not greeted. We were not all given menus. We were not given beverages, or asked if we wanted them. Our server was abrasive, borderline rude.

We were told we could not have pancakes at 10:30 AM because they take too long to cook. We were not allowed to make any substitutions to anything on the menu.

The food was okay. It lacked flavor and spice. The potatoes were quite cold and a bit stale.

Overall, the environment was lacking in cleanliness and a feeling of upkeep. Based on the stellar reviews, we were shocked.

And…we are not from Delaware, which I suspect is why our service was so poor.

We won’t return here. Perhaps it is an incredible place for locals and it will remain so.

Cool little place, great old timey, hometown kind of atmosphere. Super nice staff! Food was really good, coffee was always hot and fresh, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!

We went to The Lemon Tree for breakfast today. It was our first visit and what a hidden gem. It's a totally locals place so keep that in mind. No fancy fufu vacation spot. The food was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. Not to mention the pancakes were the size of your head. If you are looking for great food and great service, give them a try.
