Michy's Relaxed Dining
On March 6, 2026, while on the road, we stopped at a restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, DE named Michy's Relaxed Dining. In two words, "beyond incredible!" We sat in the bar area which is decorated is both a British and Rock & Roll motif as one of the owners is an Englishman. In fact, I would give the atmosphere a 10-Star rating if I could. We were greeted by Lovey who is just about the nicest person I've met in years. She made you want to come in and get comfortable. As a side note, it's best to make a reservation for dinner as we noticed how popular the restaurant is. In fact, the first 10 people in line were regulars and they all sat at the bar and quickly behind them, were literally a dozen tables worth of dinner guests. We started out with a Bond-Tini and Dirty Cherry Cosmo along with a lovely Baguette. We followed that with the Sword Fish and Day Boat Sea Scallops. We closed out dinner with the White Chocolate Bread Pudding coupled with a Violet Margarita and a glass of Sauvignon blanc. During our time at dinner, in addition to our server, we were visited by one of the owners, the head bartender, and Lovey came by again just to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. All I can say is the next time we are on the road, we are definitely planning to book an evening at Michy's Relaxed Dining restuarant.

Michy's Relaxed Dining
Food was incredible. We started with the beet salad. Amazing. So fresh and flavorful. I had the braised ribs and butternut squash risotto. The meat just felt apart. It was so tender. Nice size cubes of butternut squash in the risotto. My husband had the scallops. They were cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive. Our food was served lightning fast. I would give this restaurant a HUGE shout out. Come here. Enjoy the food. An absolute hidden gem in the Rehoboth Beach area. Prices were very reasonable.

Michy's Relaxed Dining
We dined at Michy's with friends this past weekend as Michy's was always our favorite. The food was excellent but the service wasn't good and I would not consider it "relaxed" dining anymore. Too many rules! No substitutions and you can't order your appetizers in advance- our server said the chef wants everything ordered at the same time. We just wanted to relax and have some drinks and nibbles before ordering and eating our mains. While we were eating our apps, the waitress came by and asked if we needed another round. My friends ordered drinks, but my wife and my drink were only half finished, so we didn't order. But the waitress NEVER came back until she asked about dessert. We saved $33 for the drinks, but we would have liked another one. They need to up their service to match their food.
My wife had the scallops, which were delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the Halibut special, which was a large fish portion and also very delicious. The fish specials are the main reason I like Michy's- they are always top notch. The ceviche and bang bang shrimp apps were also great. They need to up their service to match their food and if they are truly relaxed dining, they should have fewer rules.
Know before you go- they take reservations, which are highly recommended during the season. They have tons of free parking due to their strip mall location.
