Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Milford

This is a convenient location for a quick overnight stop with a gas station and food nearby. The room was comfortable and the whole place was thoroughly cleaned. There is a pool and adorable outdoor fire pit, and the breakfast bar set up is self serve. Simple and a good send off for the rest of the day.

I'm a regular with microtel so I'm happy they have one here in Milford for when I'm visiting family in the area. This microtel is large, the rooms are much larger than what I'm used to with microtel. My room was clean and I appreciate that there is no carpet in the rooms. Comes with all the important amenities such as fridge and microwave. The staff that checked me in was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the room was very humid which made it a little bit uncomfortable. This may not really be the fault of the hotel though as DE has experienced a lot of rain lately and it had rained the day I stayed here. I also really appreciated the amount of outlets and USB ports in the room. I will be back next time I'm here to see family.

Overall, I really like the Microtel.

The pros are the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and while there were no closets/dresser, there were hooks and hangers in the room and bathroom to hold your clothes/towels. Also, the "reading nook" was a great addition! Lastly, I loved the pancake maker, which produces two pancakes at a time. It was a cool machine that I've never seen anywhere else before, and the pancakes were good, too!

The cons are the key card that must be used to turn on the lights, which also appears to control the room alarm clock, bc you pretty much lose access to your 2nd room key during your stay because one card must remain in the slot to keep the lights on in the room. Another con was the unavailability of non-pork options for the included breakfast. Microtel was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again!!
