From the food… to the atmosphere… to the service… everything was absolutely outstanding.

Let’s start with ROSIE, our waitress and a true hospitality rock star. She was not just attentive… she was intuitive. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Every detail was handled with care, precision, and genuine warmth. That’s not service, that’s elevated hospitality.

Now the food… unforgettable.

We ordered:
• Fish Tacos
• Peel & Eat Shrimp
• Crab Cake Sandwich

Every single bite was next-level. Fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real culinary intention. The crab cake in particular deserves its own spotlight, light, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor without being heavy.

And then came dessert…

The Tropical Mango Carrot Cake with a scoop of Vanilla Gelato.

Let me just say this: WOW.

The texture is like a rich, decadent bread pudding, layered with a vibrant mango purée that takes it into another dimension. It’s the kind of dessert you don’t forget, you talk about it on the ride home.

A special recognition also goes to Baltimore’s own Chef Norris, the mastermind behind it all. He didn’t just cook… he curated an experience. He came out personally to greet us, and you could immediately feel his passion for food and people.

He has truly mastered the science of the crab cake light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every ingredient is fresh, sourced with intention, many straight from local farmers markets. You can taste the difference in every bite. Even down to the herbs, hand-selected for perfection.

And a heartfelt thank you to DeVanna at the hotel for making the connection with Chef Norris possible. That moment turned a great meal into a memorable experience.

Chef Norris and Rosie both represent what happens when passion meets purpose. Warm. Genuine. Skilled. And fully committed to excellence.

To Rosie, Chef Norris, and the entire Ocean 99 team, please keep doing what you’re doing. You’re not just serving food… you’re creating experiences people remember.

If you can get an outdoor table, it's one of few places in the Bethany area with a beach view. I really enjoyed our food and drinks. Calamari, crab dip, and shrimp tacos were all great. Lobster roll was a bit much on the mayo but otherwise everything was very tasty. The aperol and fresh peach drink was delightful!

I especially want to give a huge shoutout to our bartender, Izzy — her skills were top-tier! 🍹 From the presentation to the taste, every drink was crafted to perfection. You can tell she truly takes pride in what she does, and it made our whole experience even better.

The atmosphere, service, and overall vibe at Ocean 99 were everything we needed for a great time. If you’re looking for good drinks, great energy, and exceptional service, this is definitely the spot!
