Ocean Glass Inn

Ok so I almost didn't book this place because we wanted to be closer to the beach but my husband talked me into it and honestly the price difference alone paid for two really nice dinners so that was a win.

First floor suite at Ocean Glass Inn in Rehoboth Beach — I don't even know how to explain it. You walk in expecting a hotel room and it's just… a house. A real two story beach house. Actual kitchen, not a kitchenette, king bedroom downstairs, lofted queen upstairs with high ceilings that my daughter refused to give up the entire trip.

Twenty minute walk to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk but the walk is half the fun — shops and restaurants the whole way. We biked down a few times too because the bike path starts right outside the property.

My brother’s family met us midweek and just grabbed a couple of rooms. No Vrbo drama, everyone in the same place. Perfect setup for extended family.

Pet friendly, brewery on site, adorable little tiny home units across the courtyard I'm already eyeing for next time. Front desk mentioned the new management is the same team behind The Coast Tapestry down the street — definitely shows.

10/10. Rehoboth Beach boutique hotel done right.

Had a great overnight stay at the Ocean Glass Inn. Booked it for a spontaneous beach trip because it was less than half the price of the places on the boardwalk where we normally stay. I was pleasantly surprised. It is about a mile's walk from the boardwalk, or a short, flat bike ride. It's also right on the Junction/Breakwater Trail! We booked the King Cottage #16, which was pretty bare-bones, but we just needed a place to sleep and shower. It was perfect. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C blew cold air and wasn't gross. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Note they are there 9a-5pm, and you can text or call at other times. The cottage has a code that they text you, so after-hours check-in was more like an Airbnb and super easy. They send you some links and info ahead of time for pre-check-in. Free parking. Breakfast options are very close by, like Egg or Rise Up Coffee.

Did this for a quick overnight stay and had a wonderful time! Perfect little rooms, overall exactly what you need for a beach trip where you just want a comfy bed and a shower. Service was great too - they texted us ahead of time and made sure we had all we needed. Will come back!
