The owners of Rosenfeld’s Jewish Delicatessen are extremely passionate about bringing traditional, Jewish, old-world favorites to the public, whether locals, part-time residents or those on vacation. Our goal is to have the best “Jewish food museum” found anywhere. Whether you are craving good old fashioned pickles, knishes, blintzes, latkes, matzo ball soup, matzo brei, huge kosher-style sandwiches, chopped liver, whitefish, herring, chicken in the pot, stuffed cabbage, bobka, cheesecake, or wonderful New York style egg creams made with Fox’s U-Bet syrup, you’ll find all of this and more at Rosenfeld’s.

If you are expecting the level of a Katz's Deli, then you will be disappointed. However, this is nevertheless a very solid Jewish style deli. I ordered takeout, and started with the Matzoh Ball Soup. The broth was tasty, not too salty, and had plenty of carrots. I would have liked fewer onions, but otherwise the broth was fine. The matzoh ball had a nice fluffy texture, but the taste was a bit bland. The matzoh ball could definitely use a little more seasoning. I also had a Pastrami on Rye. I liked that they offered 3 different sandwich sizes. I chose the middle which was plenty for me. The pastrami was thinly sliced, tender, but did not have the rich flavor profile of a higher end deli. This place is not bad, as long as you temper expectations.

Came here back in September and ordered 5 sandwiches and an appetizer. Only received 4 sandwiches and our pickle platter. Called to see if we could come back for the last sandwich, but they said they were closing. Requested a reimbursement and was told that they took care of it. I asked if they could send a digital receipt, but they reassured me that it was already charged back. It was never reimbursed.

The food was good, and we especially liked the pickle platter, but because of this experience we will not be returning to this establishment.

Any port in a storm, Rosenfeld’s was a refuge for us while on vacation after a recent loss and it was exactly what we needed to reconnect to our Jewish identity.

Offering a traditional Jewish menu they checks all the right boxes, barrel of pickles, plentiful dishes with lox, babka French toast, everything bagels galore and one of the most interesting takes on latkas I’ve ever had they seem to have it all.

Prepared to near perfection (sadly they burned my side of bacon to a crisp) the food is tasteful but not overbearing and plentiful. Served by super friendly though folks in a unique atmosphere with some of the most creative must see murals it was an enjoyable experience.

Service was a little slow but that spoke more to a lack of staffing on a Friday morning and nothing against the effort of the staff. They was super friendly and made us feel like part of the family.

If you are looking for that comfortable and familiar feel of a Jewish deli you couldn’t ask for a better experience. This is a hidden gem in a shore town we never thought we’d be fortunate enough to find.
