I hate that I have to give them at least 1 star. OMG! Worst experience ever! DO NOT RENT UNIT 903 at Brandywine house in Sea Colony Delaware. And stay away from all properties managed by VACASA. If you're an owner and you pay VACASA to manage your property, they're doing an awful job and you're probably paying too much. Take your money somewhere else but first check on your place. It might be in bad shape.
Staff is no help. Not on the phone, through the app or in person. Unit 903 has a noxious odor that drove me out after a few days. There had been plenty of other complaints about it on other websites (found later while doing research) so VACASA was aware. They even responded to the complaints, yet they still rented to unsuspecting travelers like myself. They offered little to no help.Can't tell you how disappointed I was. I planned this trip over a year in advance and had that much time to build up my excitement. I drove 14 hours from Northern Illinois to get there.....Cried like a baby all the way home, 3 days early. Just couldn't stay there. it was that bad. Don't even want to talk about the struggle it's been trying to get at least SOME of my money back. They're a bunch of thieves, and they're getting away with it...UGH

Planned a Labor Day weekend stay at 116 Oakwood St in Bethany through Vacasa. Looked like a great home and rental process was smooth…. Until TODAY 3 days before our trip I receive this message from Vacasa! Trip cancelled, no house in a comparable location (ocean block) and most places even outside of Vacasa are rented already! Incredible disappointing when we had people coming from out of state for this trip! How do you run a business like this???

Seems like my review wasn’t posted on my stay at Bethany Bay --- 37460 Pettinaro Dr #6801.
I asked for a refund because the house was filthy, tub slow to drain it was like taking a shower in the bathtub, caked on dust everywhere… I followed up 3 times for a cleaning fee refund. I said if I don’t get said refund, I’d post pics and a bad review. So here we are.
Do you like to come to a house that’s wide open upon arrival with a code that doesn’t work?
Do you like the pee on the base of the toilet?
Crumbs, dead bugs on the floor?
Sheets that clearly were NOT CHANGED prior to our arrival?
So happy to spend well over $2k for a place to stay that was dirty.
